What’s Happening?

On Sunday, Talladega Superspeedway saw four-wide racing and the largest wreck in NASCAR Cup Series history. What did Eric Estepp think about it in this week’s Groovy Gauge Presented by Lectric eBikes?

Groovy Gauge Score: 75%

• Much like last week, this race was good but not the track’s greatest showing. However, Eric felt that the race satisfied what he expected and desired from a Talladega race. This neutral reaction is not the fault of the drivers.
• Fuel mileage racing is not NASCAR at 100%. Since the introduction of the Next Gen car in 2022, Eric has said this about superspeedway racing: The track is gridlocked, and when it’s time to go all out, no one can go anywhere.
• Like most NASCAR fans, Eric hopes that Superspeedway racing will improve. We can only hope for that.
