What’s Happening?

Once again, rain and wet weather tires were the story of the Chicago Street Race. Did NASCAR overcome the difficult situation of putting on a good race? Eric Estepp gives his take in this week’s “Groovy Gauge,” Presented by Lectric eBikes.

Groovy Gauge Score: 48%

• Eric feels similar about this race as he did regarding the Nashville race one week ago. While there was plenty of action and storylines, other factors made this event frustrating.
• Eric likes the novelty of the Chicago Street Race. It’s still a unique event, and it still has an appeal.
• However, many of the best drivers fell out of contention during the race due to incidents outside their control. Of course, the weather put a damper on things as well.
