What’s Happening?
Richmond’s Cook Out 400 may have been the most controversial Finish of the season. What did Eric Estepp think about it in this week’s Groovy Gauge Presented by Lectric eBikes?
Groovy Gauge Score: 70%
- Though Dillon deserved to win the race, the “ugliness” of the last lap hurt the win. Many fans felt this way, and Eric was no different, especially when the race had shown promise for a short track outing.
- The race strategy was great, which could be due to the introduction of the option tire. The strategy is notable as there were no cautions for long periods of this race.
- In a race where content and controversy are king, Richmond’s 70% on the Groovy Gauge is a nice number, especially considering it scored 25% in the spring.
Thanks again to Lectric eBikes, who will continue sponsoring the Groovy Gauge throughout the season. Stay tuned for the Michigan Groovy Gauge after Sunday’s race!
