What’s Happening?

Harrison Burton shocked the world Saturday, winning at Daytona and locking himself into the playoffs. What did Eric Estepp think about it in this week’s Groovy Gauge Presented by Lectric eBikes?

Groovy Gauge Score: 80%

• From what we have seen this season, the race at Daytona was great. Fuel mileage has been an issue at Superspeedways this season, leading to a lack of pace. However, this was less of a problem this weekend.
• Less mileage racing saw drivers going for the lead and fighting hard for the win. Brad Keselowski, Josh Berry, and Justin Haley all put on great shows, fighting hard to be at the front of the pack.
• However, this aggression was also one major downside of this past weekend. Too many crashes took out major names and drivers who deserved a good run this weekend. With so many leaders wrecking, it dampened the story of the race substantially.
