JR Motorsports is not off to the start they were hoping for in the 2023 season. There have been multiple incidents between teammates throughout the first couple of races this season, and today’s race at Phoenix wasn’t much of an improvement.
- With 6 laps to go in Stage 2, Sam Mayer bumps into the back of Josh Berry, causing him to spin for the second time in the race.
- Lap 179 JRM teammate Brandon Jones makes contact with Justin Allgaier sending him into the outside wall and collects others. Justin Allgaier won Stages 1 & 2 before the incident, and Josh Berry rebounded with a top 10 finish.
- Despite highly competitive teams and equipment, these driver errors have fans scratching their heads wondering what’s going on with JR Motorsports?
