What’s Happening?

The fifth annual Groovy Hollow Sim Race is right around the corner, and as always, the festivities are still ramping up. Once again, it’s time to cast your ballot in the annual Grooviest Paint Scheme Contest.

  • Event: Groovy Hollow 5 Annual Halloween Sim Race

  • Voting Open: Now through Tuesday, October 28 at 9:00 PM EST
  • Watch Live: Tuesday, October 28 at 8:00 PM EST — on YouTube or DailyDownforce.com/GroovyHollow
  • Where to Vote: dailydownforce.com/paint-schemes
  • Why It Matters: Every vote supports Victory Junction and helps your paint scheme stand out

As a Halloween-themed sim race, Groovy Hollow allows its drivers and sponsors to express their Halloween spirit.

While drivers may wear costumes during the live stream, sponsors shine with awesome, one-of-a-kind paint schemes. Furthermore, fans can get in on the action by selecting their favorite paint scheme in the annual Grooviest Paint Scheme Contest.

This year, several fan-favorite sponsors return with fresh takes on their look, specially made for Groovy Hollow. As always, there is the “house car,” if you will. This year, the Groovy Hollow car sports the No. 5 in honor of the race’s fifth anniversary and features a green Groovy Hollow design.

Much like they do in the real world, Toxic Waste Hazardously Sour Candy, title sponsor for Groovy Hollow 5, has one of the most standout paint schemes in the field. But for Groovy Hollow 5, this fan favorite is doubling up, with Alpha Prime Racing’s Brennan Poole behind the wheel of the No. 44, racing alongside a special blue Toxic Waste ZAPZ-themed No. 45.

Gavin Grubbs will also pilot a special No. 45, which has deep ties to the NASCAR community and the event itself.

Grubbs No. 45 utilizes the same styleized 45 driven by the late Adam Petty, whose vision and tragic passing led to the creation of Victory Junction, a camp for kids living with complex medical and physical needs.

This year, Groovy Hollow is raising funds to support Victory Junction and all the great work done by those involved with the organization.

How Do I Vote?

Voting is simple; all you need to do is head to the Groovy Hollow landing page here on the Daily Downforce, then select ‘Paint Schemes’ in the top box, or you can head to dailydownforce.com/paint-schemes.

After navigating to the voting page, take a good look at all the cars and select your favorite.

The winner will be announced during Tuesday’s livestream of Groovy Hollow 5 live on Eric Estepp’s Out of the Groove YouTube channel. The race starts at 7:30 PM EST, so make sure to drop by and vote to make sure your favorite scheme takes home the honor of Grooviest in show.

Last year, Thad Moffitt took home the honor of Grooviest Paint Scheme with his Tastyduck.com Chevrolet.
