Eric was none too pleased with the officiating of the NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond on Sunday night. How does he rate this race on the Groovy Gauge as a result?

• While the officiating was not great, Eric wasn’t thrilled with the racing product. While some cars could make moves, passing was difficult.
• Eric believes that fan sentiment towards parity is not great. The result of parity is that cars are difficult to pass, resulting in lackluster competition.
• Eric believes that the bad officiating is what pushes the race further down. Particularly the restart call late in the race and a caution call late in stage two.
