Las Vegas Weather History

Being a track in the desert, the weather does not often affect a race in Las Vegas, but the 2016 race had by far the craziest weather of any Las Vegas race. Wind and rain delayed the race by just a little bit, and everyone had to battle the wind before the race.

During the race, the wind brought more havoc as a desert dust storm blew through during the middle of the race. NASCAR determined that visibility was good enough to continue the race, and no delay happened. Regardless, it made for a rather creepy visual.

Even if there is no rain in the forecast, Las Vegas can bring its’ own set of weather challenges. What awaits the Cup Series this weekend?
