What’s Happening?
The Groovy Hollow Charity iRacing Event is back for its fifth year this Tuesday, October 28, 2025, broadcasting live on the Out of the Groove YouTube Channel at 7:30 PM EST. This year, the event is collaborating with title sponsor Toxic Waste Hazardously Sour Candy, raising money to support Victory Junction.
This year’s event is also in memory of two individuals close to the racing community:
- Keith Waltz (April 1, 1960 – September 27, 2025), longtime NASCAR Pole Position contributor and NASCAR PR Hall of Famer
- Robert Eugene Vaughters (March 9, 1978 – October 24, 2025), father of Groovy Hollow 5 car designer Kyle Vaughters
Halloween Thrills Meet Elite Sim Racing
Much like past Groovy Hollow Editions, this year’s event strikes the perfect balance between NASCAR regulars, competitive Sim Racing enthusiasts, and a broadcast that rivals those seen on national TV.
- Our partners at RaceSpot, the names behind the broadcast of Groovy Hollow, will provide an in-depth look at this year’s field, including well-known names like NASCAR regulars and some fresh faces to the world of Groovy Hollow, alongside in-time updates of the ongoing donation drive to great folks at Victory Junction.
- Fans can get in on the fun by voting for their favorite paint scheme in the annual Grooviest Paint Scheme Contest. This hands-on event allows fans to vote on the unique paint schemes found in this one-of-a-kind Sim Race. Fans have until 9:00 PM ET on race day, October 28, 2025, to vote at DailyDownforce.com/Paint-Schemes.
- Our title sponsor, Toxic Waste Hazardously Sour Candy, will also be integrated into the day’s events, offering giveaways such as Taffetti and ZAPZ.

The Legend Continues
The Legend of Groovy Hollow: Lost Boys Book Release
As part of Groovy Hollow 4 in 2024, Daily Downforce writer Cody Williams stepped up to the plate to add to the growing lore of Groovy Hollow. Williams introduced the world to more Groovy Hollow than ever before with the release of The Legend of Groovy Hollow. This year, Williams is taking fans back to the world of Groovy Hollow with the second book in the saga, The Legend of Groovy Hollow: Lost Boys.
This book introduces the readers to even more of the fabled history of the Groovy Hollow 300, telling the story of the ‘Lost Boys of Stone Castle’ and college journalist Max DePew and his colleague, Ashley, as they investigate Stone Castle Speedway, Groovy Hollow, and the Lost Boys.
The Legend of Groovy Hollow: Lost Boys can be purchased as an eBook on Amazon.com or, for free, with a subscription to Kindle Unlimited. For more on The Legend of Groovy Hollow: Lost Boys, visit Daily Downforce’s feature article covering the release of the second Groovy Hollow book.
Make sure to tune into Eric Estepp’s Out of the Groove YouTube Channel on Tuesday, October 28, at 7:30 PM ET to catch all the Halloween action in Groovy Hollow 5.
