Tommie Jo Swanson has always dreamed of being a racecar driver in Commonwealth, Virginia. For her sixteenth birthday, her father buys her a stock car, aiming to race it at the enigmatic Groovy Hollow Raceway. This notorious track vanished during a lightning storm in the ’90s, along with its champion, Bucky Blackwell. Now rediscovered, Groovy Hollow harbors dark secrets and supernatural elements, challenging Tommie as she navigates her racing ambitions amidst the mystery surrounding the haunted Halloween Machine.
