• ALMIROLA’S MARTINSVILLE WIN: Aric Almirola went to victory lane in his most recent NASCAR Xfinity Series race on April 6 at Martinsville Speedway. That night, he started sixth and led a race-high 148 laps on the way to earning his first victory of the season.
• NO. 20 TEAM’S DOVER WIN: The No. 20 team won the most recent Xfinity Series race two weeks ago at Dover Motor Speedway with Ryan Truex behind the wheel. For Truex, it was his second consecutive victory at the Monster Mile. The day wasn’t an easy one, but he found his way towards the front and restarted second for an overtime finish where he wrestled the lead away coming to the white flag and held on to secure the win.
• ALMIROLA AT DARLINGTON: The Tampa, Florida native has made 20 starts at Darlington across NASCAR’s three national series. Almirola owns a pair of top-10 finishes in NASCAR Cup Series competition at the track, including a seventh-place finish in 2020. More recently, he finished inside the top 15 in three of his past four Cup Series starts at the track. Almirola finished 41st and 28th in two Xfinity Series starts at the track with the most recent coming in 2011.
• ALMIROLA IN 2024: In four starts this season, Almirola’s results are highlighted by his win at Martinsville Speedway and a second-place finish at Richmond Raceway. Despite competing in less than half the races, Almirola’s 243 laps led have him ranked third in the series, only 28 laps behind the overall leader.
• 20 TEAM IN 2024: Through 10 races this season, the Tyler-Allen-led No. 20 team has posted three wins, five top-five finishes, and seven top-10s. The team has collected wins with three different drivers – Aric Almirola, John Hunter Nemechek, and Ryan Truex – and is currently ranked fourth in the owner points standings.
• ALMIROLA RETURNS: Almirola is scheduled to drive the No. 20 Toyota GR Supra in the next two Xfinity Series races at Darlington Raceway (May 11) and Charlotte Motor Speedway (May 25).
• JGR AT DARLINGTON: Joe Gibbs Racing owns 12 Xfinity Series victories at Darlington Raceway, including Denny Hamlin’s win last September. In 86 combined starts at the track, the organization has tallied 39 top-five finishes, 54 top-10s, 10 pole awards, and 1,494 laps led. Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Brandon Jones, Bobby Labonte, Joey Logano and Tony Stewart have driven JGR entries to victory lane at the Track Too Tough to Tame.
• FIRST FOR JGR: Bobby Labonte picked up Joe Gibbs Racing’s first Xfinity Series win at Darlington Raceway in 1998. That day, Labonte started ninth and led the final 14 laps after passing Jeff Burton late in the race to earn the first of 209 wins for the team.

“I’m excited to get back in the car. It has been great to have the last few weeks off and being able to enjoy time with my family. Darlington is a fun place to come back to. It’s such a challenging track and really forces you to be on the edge to make speed throughout the race. JGR has had a lot of success at Darlington over the years, so I know the car will be capable of running up front. We’ll just have to maximize our day on the track and on pit road to have a chance to win it.”
