What’s Happening?

On Wednesday, NASCAR announced the release of NASCAR Tycoon on Roblox, created by Dubit. The new game mode will allow fans to own and build their own NASCAR team on Roblox while also racing in virtual Next-Gen race cars against their friends in races at tracks patterned after real NASCAR tracks. This is NASCAR’s third foray into Roblox, after NASCAR Jailbreak in late 2021 and NASCAR Speed Hub in 2023.

Roblox Players can play the game on Roblox.com/NASCAR.

• Roblox is an online multiplayer game platform that allows players to create their own games. Even larger companies like NASCAR can create games for the system that Roblox players can play on. This is through companies like Dubit, who works in creating metaverse games on platforms like Roblox and Fortnite.
• NASCAR is expanding its gaming platforms across various popular titles, including Fortnite, Rocket League, and Roblox. In early July, NASCAR revealed a custom track in Fortnite’s Rocket Racing, a spin-off of the online vehicular soccer game Rocket League. NASCAR has also implemented custom cars and decals in Rocket League.
• Fans are thrilled to see NASCAR dip their toe further into Roblox. However, the anticipation is highest for the upcoming iRacing console game, which is set to come out in 2025.
