NASCAR announced a surprise change to the TV schedule for 2024 on Thursday. The NASCAR Xfinity Series is moving to The CW later this season, one season before the original plan. Brakehard breaks down the surprise move in his most recent video.
- As surprising as this move is, Brakehard believes that the move makes sense. Given NBC’s other commitments in the fall, the Xfinity Series doesn’t bring quite the value to the network that other programs could.
- How the broadcast will work is strange as NBC will produce the races, but, they will be broadcast on The CW. This includes the broadcast booth, and the timing is interesting given recent Rick Allen/Leigh Diffey news.
- Brakehard also looks at what this means for The CW. Why does it make sense for The CW?
