Sci Aps 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

No. 19 M3 Technology Toyota GR Supra News and Notes:

  • BOSIGNORE’S NXS DEBUT: The June 22 race at NHMS will mark Bonsignore’s first career NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) start, but he is no stranger to the Magic Mile. The 36-year-old driver has made 25 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) starts there over the past 14 years. In those 25 races, he has two wins in points-paying events and one in a non-points race, along with 10 top-five finishes. His most recent New Hampshire win came last September. Bonsignore will be running double-duty as he competes in the NXS race and the NWMT race on Saturday.
  • ABOUT JUSTIN: Bonsignore is a familiar face in the modified world with three tour championships and 41 NWMT wins since 2007. The Holtsville, New York native picked up his first NWMT championship in 2018 and followed it up with back-to-back championships in 2020 and 2021. Those 41 wins put him fourth on the all-time NWMT win list – just one win behind third. Bonsignore has 31 career tour pole awards, which also ranks fourth on the all-time list. The NWMT is four races into their 2024 campaign and Bonsignore has one victory, which came at Richmond Raceway in March. He is currently second in the tour standings, sixteen points back from the lead.
  • ON THE PITBOX: Seth Chavka will lead the No. 19 Toyota GR Supra team for the 2024 season as he embarks on his rookie season as a crew chief in the Xfinity Series. Chavka is no stranger to JGR, as he has spent time in the Cup Series shop as lead race engineer for the likes of Erik Jones, Kyle Busch, and most recently, Ty Gibbs, since starting his tenure with the team in 2019. Prior to joining JGR, Chavka spent seven years at Richard Childress Racing and one year at Kevin Harvick Inc. as an engineer. In his 13 years spent in NASCAR, Chavka has earned six NASCAR Cup Series victories and four Xfinity Series victories.
  • NO. 19 IN 2024: The JGR No. 19 will have a rotating schedule of drivers throughout the 2024 season. Ryan Truex, Aric Almirola, Taylor Gray, Josh Bilicki, Brett Moffitt, and Ty Gibbs have already made starts behind the wheel. Joe Graf Jr. and William Sawalich are also slated to run races later this year.
  • JGR AT NHMS: Joe Gibbs Racing has 12 Xfinity Series wins at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. In 58 combined starts at the Magic Mile, the organization has tallied 33 top-five finishes, 41 top-10s, four pole awards, and 1,900 laps led. Tony Stewart, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Christopher Bell, and John Hunter Nemechek have all driven JGR cars to victory lane.

From the Driver’s Seat:

Justin Bosignore: “Having the opportunity to drive for Joe Gibbs Racing at New Hampshire is truly the chance of a lifetime. I love driving modifieds and that will always be my home, where we hope to win many more races and championships. But, having the opportunity to compete in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with such an established, winning organization like Joe Gibbs Racing is such an exciting chance on this national stage.”
