What’s Happening
Zane Smith has been Disqualified following the NASCAR truck race at Homestead-Miami due to failing post-race inspections. Zane Smith’s machine did not have window braces under the windshield which is a violation of NASCAR’s rule book.
Zane originally finished 2nd in the Baptist Health Cancer Care 200, and while the disqualification removes this finish, the final four of the ongoing Truck Series playoffs were not affected by the penalty.
The truck has been taken to NASCAR’s R&D center, where representatives from Front Row continue their discussions over the penalty.
