Hailie Deegan has made it clear that she is looking to move up to the Xfinity Series next season. However, what are the options for her if she wants to move up, and is her best option in the Xfinity Series?

AM Racing has an announcement scheduled for Thursday, and Hailie Deegan is one of the names people speculate could get that ride. Deegan is a very popular driver, and she brings in a lot of sponsorship. She is exactly what someone like AM Racing would want.
However, she has yet to find her footing in the Truck Series, so, how long of a leash will she have? AM Racing is hoping to expand to two cars in 2024, and that means they want to start winning races. Deegan will be given time to improve, but how much time is the question?
Stewart-Haas Racing is in flux as an organization. Their Cup Series roster is still not totally set in 2024, and that means neither is their Xfinity Series roster. If Aric Almirola retires, that could open up an Xfinity Series seat.
The issue here is not so much Deegan, but will SHR get their decisions made in time? Deegan could have plenty of offers come across her table before SHR is even known as an option to her. That could be what holds both parties back from making a move.
Another option, albeit unlikely is Hailie Deegan returning to ThorSport in 2024. This is unlikely because first off, Deegan has struggled at ThorSport this season despite having her other three teammates in the Playoffs. Secondly, Deegan probably does not want to spend a fourth season in Trucks.
However, Deegan does bring significant sponsorship and fan support to the team. That could be enough to bring her back in, at least for a little bit. However, it’s hard to see a scenario where this actually happens.
Hailie Deegan is truly one of the most interesting prospects in NASCAR, and she can go to multiple different places. Will any of these places be where she goes in 2024?
