What’s Happening?

NASCAR is debuting a new channel on the streaming platform Tubi on Jan. 29. The NASCAR Channel will feature a wide range of NASCAR-related content for free.

  • According to NASCAR, the channel will feature “classic races, re-airs of this season’s events, documentaries, NASCAR Studios original content, and video podcasts.” NASCAR already makes its content relatively available online. However, this new platform will present it in a traditional television format.
  • The Channel is considered a FAST, or Free Ad-Supported Television, Channel. FAST Channels are a route that several sports are taking to utilize their video catalog. This means the channel will be free with ads on Tubi, a streaming platform that features both on-demand media and on-demand “channels.” Tubi is owned by Fox Corporation, which owns FOX Sports, one of NASCAR’s Media partners.
  • This channel will air video content from NASCAR’s historic library. However, it will also feature original content, including the live broadcast of the 2025 NASCAR Hall of Fame Ceremony and the Cook Out Madhouse Classic, the Modified race happening on Feb. 1, a day before the Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium.
  • While this channel is not a traditional cable or satellite channel, it gives fans yet another outlet to watch NASCAR content. This channel also offers NASCAR another outlet to broadcast content that diehard fans enjoy, such as NASCAR regional races.
  • The NASCAR Channel is another step in a new era of NASCAR Media, including the new TV rights deal. This deal features the return of TNT Sports to NASCAR and an emphasis on streaming platforms with Prime Video and MAX.
