Since the Next Gen car came into NASCAR Kansas Speedway has been one of the best tracks on the circuit, somehow every year we have higher and higher expectations and each and every year it blows our minds this year after a three-hour wait, Kansas delivered with one of the best finishes of all time. Brake Hard is here to break down everything that happened this week at Kansas.

  • After a close 0.001 finish at Kansas, the RFK social media team noticed that the start-finish line on the apron was thinner than the start-finish line on the track. So it looked like even if Buscher was ahead, he still wouldn’t have crossed the line 1st. Should NASCAR be more precise when they are painting the start finish line or is this a problem that’s unlikely to happen ever again?
  • Danny Hamlin has blown away expectations early in the season, after getting a win last week at Dover and nearly getting a win this week at Kansas do you think Hamlin is a championship favorite?
  • After another top 10 this week, Alex Bowman is starting to show the little bits of consistency that Chase Elliott started to have before he got his win. How long do you think it would be before Alex Bowman is in Victory Lane?

Since it seems like Kansas is by far the best track on the schedule right now, would you like to see a championship race there? Should we only use the Gen Seven cars for intermediate tracks? Let Brake Hard know all of your thoughts and questions in his comment section.
