- Set for launch in the second half of 2026, the game will feature the full NTT INDYCAR SERIES and INDY NXT, complete with licensed drivers, teams, and tracks. Players can expect a career mode, online multiplayer, and gameplay built on iRacing’s Orontes engine, with a dedicated development team focusing solely on building the INDY experience from the ground up.
- The development will also involve current INDYCAR drivers, including Team Penske’s Scott McLaughlin, who has already joined the project. McLaughlin said it’s “exciting” and believes the game will elevate fans’ connection to the series.
- The upcoming release expands iRacing’s growing portfolio, joining NASCAR ’25 and World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing as officially licensed motorsport titles. The announcement also extends the long-standing partnership between INDYCAR and iRacing, ensuring the series remains a strong presence in both simulation and console gaming.
The question now is how the new INDYCAR title will compare to iRacing’s acclaimed simulation standards. With development underway and anticipation already building, fans will be watching to see if the 2026 release will be closer to a simulation or arcade-style gameplay.
