What’s Happening?

iRacing Studios has answered another question about its upcoming NASCAR console game, NASCAR 26, revealing via the game’s website what platforms the game will be available on.

After months of patient waiting from NASCAR gamers, the community is finally getting the new details they want about iRacing Studios’ upcoming NASCAR console game, NASCAR 26.

The game, which is set to follow up on iRacing’s NASCAR console gaming debut, NASCAR 25, has plenty of hype after a positive opening from the developer last season.

Still, this time around, iRacing waited a little longer to get the hype train rolling for NASCAR 26, with the first real information about the new game coming out Thursday afternoon.

On Thursday, the studio announced that NASCAR 26’s cover driver will be 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kyle Larson. Furthermore, the studio also announced the series’ first new in-game feature, post-race burnouts.

But players are still picking up new details from the barrage of info, including platforms that NASCAR 26 will release on.

Per the NASCAR 26 website, the game is slated for a to-be-announced date in September and will once again be available on XBOX Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.

This quells any questions about a PC version of the next iRacing NASCAR game, as well as any speculation that it could be ported to the Nintendo Switch 2.

What’s Left to Know?

Of course, there are still plenty of questions about the release of NASCAR 26, as well as the game itself.

Regarding the game’s release, many players are still hopeful for a physical release, something that was not offered for NASCAR 25, and, at least as of right now, seems unlikely for NASCAR 26.

However, this could be a surprise reveal alongside the official release date.

Speaking of the release date, players are also wondering whether NASCAR 26 will once again be delayed on Steam.

Last fall, the home console versions of NASCAR 26 (XBOX and PS5) were released on October 14, 2025, while the PC version on Steam was released almost a month later, on November 11, 2025.
