What’s Happening?

iRacing Studios announced that 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kyle Larson will be the cover athlete for its next NASCAR Console Game, NASCAR 26, on Thursday afternoon.

This will be Larson’s first time as the cover athlete for a NASCAR game, making him the final member of Hendrick Motorsports’ current driver lineup to appear on a NASCAR console game’s cover.

He is also the first reigning Cup Series Champion to serve as a cover athlete since Jimmie Johnson’s car appeared on NASCAR The Game: 2011.

Last season, Larson’s HMS teammate William Byron was featured on the cover following a hot start to the 2025 season. Though for iRacing’s first NASCAR Console game, Byron shared the cover with Team Penske’s Ryan Blaney and Joe Gibbs Racing’s Christopher Bell.

The other piece of the NASCAR 26 cover that came with this announcement was a release month.

While iRacing did not give out an exact release date for NASCAR 26, the teaser said the game will come out in September, which means it could come out anywhere from a month to a few weeks ahead of NASCAR 25’s October 14, 2025, release date.

As of press time, there is still very little known about NASCAR 26, including new features, a soundtrack, and whether there will be a physical release or if it will remain a digital exclusive.
