Earlier this week, Danielle Trotta went after Chase Elliott on Sirius XM NASCAR Radio. Her comments drew quite the reaction from the NASCAR fanbase, and both our own Twitter and NASCAR Reddit drew an immense reaction. What did they have to say about it?
Those who Agreed with Danielle Trotta
Many agreed with Trotta’s comments, and they believed that Elliott was completely wrong in how he reacted to Larson. They believed that the move was completely unnecessary, and Trotta was completely right to give these comments on her show.
Through the Esses said that Elliott needed to be better than that.
Chris Cater said that Trotta was completely right in her comments, and Elliott should have cut some slack with her teammates.

Those who Believe There is Beef with Larson and Elliott
The part of the comment that many, particularly on NASCAR Reddit, looked towards is the comment about Elliott not liking Kyle Larson. Some feel there could be some legitimacy to this argument because of the history the two have. Others feel that Elliott is no longer considered the number one driver at Hendrick Motorsports, which could mean there is some animosity between the two.
joshazord feels this comes down to a couple of incidents the two had in the past.
jj889fan, a noted Elliott fan, says that Elliott does not like Larson deep down.
Trentpd goes back to 2021 at Bristol, and everything has seemingly snowballed from there.

This is Completely Overblown
Some believe that this story is overblown. They believe that it was just an honest misunderstanding between teammates and that this was just not a story worth talking about. As far as they were concerned, the incident was probably already discussed behind the scenes, and one person who was a proponent for this side was none other than Chase Elliott.
Elliott called this a non-issue between both him and Larson.
RadeDay Roar feels this is just a major search for clicks.
Tammra Kennedy understands Elliott’s side of the story, and she feels that this is not nearly as big of a story as many are making it out to be.

Well, it seems this matter will be put to bed for the time being. As long as Elliott and Larson do not have any further run-ins in the NASCAR Cup Series.
