Everything You Need to Know About Groovy Hollow 4
What’s Happening? The Daytona 500, the Coca-Cola 600, the Indianapolis 500, and Groovy Hollow. Three of these legendary events have already…
Groovy Hollow is an annual Halloween iRacing event featuring a mix of NASCAR regulars and iRacing pros. The race also raises money for Extra Life, a program of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, and Toys for Tots.
This year’s race is on Tuesday, Oct. 29. at 8 pm EST and will be live on the Out of The Groove YouTube Channel. However, Groovy Hollow Four is different from past editions, as this year, the lore of Groovy Hollow grows with the release of Cody William’s eBook/audiobook The Legend of Groovy Hollow.
The race is also getting rid of its traditional mystery driver in exchange for Eric’s iRacing debut.
How Did Eric Get Here?
Eric has long played the role of the host of the Groovy Hollow race. However, this season, Eric is getting behind the wheel of the No. 4 Halloween Machine for his debut.
The Halloween Machine was initially designed for Dawson Cram to race in the Xfinity Series for JD Motorsports, making it a bit of a “lost paint scheme.”
Now Eric, with training from iRacing Streamer DJ Yee-J, is tackling the fourth edition of the race he created. With Eric’s debut, the Groovy Hollow team stepped up for this special occasion.
Why Eric’s Debut Is So Special
For Groovy Hollow Four, Eric is getting the full driver treatment. First, the team has Eric’s Halloween Machine diecast available for purchase, and for the first time, an OOTG diecast will be on a 1:64 scale. Furthermore, the diecast is equipped with Dawson Cram’s name, making this perhaps the first ever “lost paint scheme” to be officially produced by Lionel.
It doesn’t end with the diecast. The Groovy Hollow team also printed out hero cards signed by Eric. Most importantly, the team designed a limited-edition Halloween Machine all-over-print t-shirt.
While you can buy just Eric’s diecast, these two limited edition items are only available via the Groovy Gang Halloween Haul bundle. That bundle includes Eric’s hero card, limited-edition all-over-print t-shirt, and 1:64 scale ween Machine diecast.
While Eric’s debut could last just a few laps, he is working hard to make sure his name is at the top of the scoring pylon when the checkered flag falls. However, the real question is, can Eric overcome his creation, Groovy Hollow 4?
