NASCAR has spent the last three seasons running their season-opening exhibition race, the Clash, at the LA Coliseum. Now that it’s been three years, it’s time to take a look back on the event and see if it had the impact NASCAR hoped. Eric Estepp asks the question, did NASCAR go too far?
- In both sports and entertainment, it’s important to have a strong opener. Eric looks at the history of NASCAR’s opening event, and why NASCAR made the bold move to the LA Coliseum.

- Eric poses this question, what is the legacy of the Clash? Did it boost TV ratings? Did it impact the rest of the sport in the way NASCAR hoped?
