With Formula 1 and INDYCAR off this weekend, you may think that it would be a less eventful weekend than usual, but with an Iowa repave that was surprisingly good, Silly Season drama, and a 24-hour race over in France, there’s a lot to talk about, and there’s nowhere better to get wrapped up on everything that happened this weekend than on the Brake Hard show.
- One of the biggest storylines going into Sunday’s race was the number of tire failures that happened in practice. Fortunately, the teams could figure out these issues and limit them during the race. Do you think this race would’ve been a disaster if NASCAR hadn’t had a long practice session?
- Sam Mayer has just won six out of the last 29 NASCAR Xfinity Series races. He’s a young star with a road racing background and most importantly a lot of funding but for some reason his name is not mentioned in the NASCAR Silly Season conversation. Do you think Sam Mayer is good enough to be a Cup Series driver?
- On Friday night, William Sawalich tried his absolute hardest to wreck Connor Zilisch multiple times. Do you think NASCAR should’ve stepped in and penalized William Sawalich?
Should Iowa be back on the schedule next season? Do you think all races should have long practice sessions? Let Brake Hard know all your thoughts and questions in the comment section.
