MATT NIEHAUS

That guy you’ve seen on TikTok talking about cars going right and sometimes left.

This was an amazing weekend for racing, two photo finishes, two-night races, and every single race was fantastic and the top it all off Verstappen didn’t win. Here to break down everything that went on in the racing world this weekend is Matt on the Brake Hard podcast.

  • On Sunday night, we saw the closest NASCAR finish of all time, but after the race fans noticed things like the start finish line not being exactly straight. We all know by now that NASCAR uses a camera in the infield to determine the winner, not electronic timing or the start-finish line. Should NASCAR change things to make it more simple to determine the winner or is this a problem that will never happen again?
  • Since Alex Bowman hurt his back last year. It’s been no secret that he had been struggling in the car, but over the last few weeks, Alex Bowman has put together a few top 10s and has shown a growing consistency kind of like the same run that Chase Elliott was on before he got his win. How long do you think it’ll be until Alex Bowman is in Victory Lane?
  • Since 2021, Red Bull has dominated Formula One and over the last two years it seemed possible that a Red Bull car could win every single race. Well this week at the Miami Grand Prix fan favorite Lando Norris was able to outpace Red Bull. Do you think if F1 becomes more competitive they will have another Boom in popularity?

What do you think was the best NASCAR finish of all time? Do you think Caruth is going to be in the 48 seat soon? How do you feel about Formula One? Let Brake Hard know all of your thoughts and questions in the comment section.
