What’s Happening?

NASCAR Cup Series regular Austin Dillon is adding an Xfinity Series race to his 2025 Calendar. In a partnership with sponsor Boot Barn, Dillon will race in Saturday’s BetMGM 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

  • Dillon will pilot the No. 3, the same number he has driven to three Xfinity Series wins and the 2011 Series championship. As part of this deal, RCR announced that Dillon would carry sponsorship from Boot Barn in the June 15 NASCAR Cup Series race in Mexico City.
  • This race will be Dillon’s first Xfinity Series race since 2023, a 16th-place finish for Kaulig Racing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. This will also be his first NASCAR Xfinity Series race with Richard Childress Racing since 2018 at Watkins Glen.
  • Dillon is a nine-time NASCAR Xfinity Series winner, with his most recent win coming at Michigan in 2018 with RCR. Since that win, Dillon has finished no better than fourth for Kaulig at Las Vegas in the spring of 2019.
  • Dillon has excelled at intermediate tracks similar to Charlotte in the Xfinity Series. Five of his nine series wins have come on intermediate tracks, and Dillon scored two wins at Charlotte, both in 2015.
