It wasn’t long ago when NASCAR fans were pleading that there were too many intermediate tracks on the schedule and that there needed to be more short tracks and road courses because those were the most exciting. Flash forward a few more years and after seeing the Next Gen car perform at tracks like Kansas and Charlotte, are NASCAR fans changing their mind? The iceberg is here to answer the question that’s been on all of our minds, should NASCAR add more cookie cutters?
- There’s no doubt that the Next Gen car performs the best on mile-and-a-half race tracks so if we were to hypothetically add more to the schedule what mile-and-a-half race track would you like to see added?
- Unfortunately, the NASCAR season cannot last year round unless you wanna take a mid-December trip up to New Hampshire and experience a snow delay. I don’t think many people will sign up for that, so if we are adding an intermediate track to the schedule, what track would you take away?
- A decade ago when NASCAR had mostly intermediates on the schedule, maybe this car wouldn’t have been such a problem. Would you like to see NASCAR go back to their old schedule? How many intermediate races would be too many?
