Bologna Burger is a YouTube channel that delivers news and information about NASCAR and occasional other topics. Started as a way to have a community to talk about nascar in a friendly setting it has grown into just that so feel free to join in the group.

Bologna Burger is here to recap this weekend’s Talladega NASCAR Cup Series race. He talks about the current commercial model that NASCAR has, and any solutions that he has for it. He also discusses fuel mileage racing, and whether the strategy makes for a boring race or a fun race.

  • This weekend it seemed like Fox stuffed all the commercials that they could into the race broadcast, and Bologna Burger explains that this may not have seemed so bad if we hadn’t seen the other alternatives to this that other motorsports have. Could you ever see NASCAR changing their commercial model and if you could what are some suggestions that you would like to see?
  • Bologna Burger talks about a few mileage races and if artificial three-wide pack racing is good for the sport or not. It does increase strategy but are there some things that NASCAR can do that limit this such as mandatory 4-tire pitstops?
  • Taking a look at the results we have a lot of disappointments and a lot of surprising finishes and that’s usually how it is for Talladega, but Bologna Burger goes through them all. Are you happy with where your driver finished today?

Are side-by-side commercials a solution to NASCAR’s commercial problem? Should NASCAR step in and start making rules to limit fuel saving? Who surprised you the most out of Sunday’s drivers? Let Bologna Burger know your thoughts and questions in  his comment section
