What’s Happening?
Much like the NASCAR Cup Series, the NASCAR Xfinity Series saw a dip in overall viewership after Saturday afternoon’s Ag-Pro 300. Despite this small dip, the CW continues to draw well over one million viewers per race, far outpacing FOX’s spring 2024 coverage.

- Saturday’s race drew just 1.260 million viewers, a shocking drop from 2024’s 1.602 million. This drop of 0.342 million viewers (21.35%) is the only time a 2024 Xfinity Series on FOX broadcast has beaten the CW head-to-head. Due to schedule and weekend changes, the two have had eight comparable weekends through 11 races this season.
- All things aside, the CW continues to outpace FOX’s 2024 coverage by 2.290 million total viewers and averaged 1.195 million viewers per race. Through these first ten races, the CW has yet to dip below one million total viewers, something that, according to the CW, has not happened in the 2017 season.
- The 2024 spring race at Talladega was on FOX and skyrocketed from 2023’s 1.309 million viewers on FS1, which dropped from 2022’s 2.061 million viewers on FOX. The Xfinity Series was not the only series to see a dip this weekend, as the Cup Series spring Talladega rating dropped for a fourth consecutive season.
- This one weekend is the only blemish on the CW’s viewership record so far this season. Their best race, the season-opening United Rentals 300 at Daytona, still tops either season’s charts with a massive audience of 1.825 million viewers.
