This weekend, Myatt Snider will make his sixth and final Xfinity Series start of the year with Joe Gibbs Racing. He mentioned to Fronststretch following his 15th place finish at Las Vegas that he was looking to have plans set within the next month. Well, that time frame is approaching, so which race teams could those plans be with?
Joe Gibbs Racing #19: Xfinity
Myatt Snider has done a solid job in the #19 Joe Gibbs Racing seat this year. It’s possible they may invite him back, but it would probably be a part-time ride in all likelihood. Is Snider really all that interested in a part-time ride, or would he rather drive full-time somewhere?
It is tough to see him getting a full-time ride at Gibbs given how drivers like Chandler Smith, Sheldon Creed, and Ryan Truex are candidates for the ride. Is Snider good enough to jump each of those drivers? That’s a tough hill to climb.
Kaulig Racing #10/#11: Xfinity
Kaulig Racing is another team that could have a full-time option for 2024. Chandler Smith is gone, and Daniel Hemric is moving up to the Cup. Therefore, there will be a new Xfinity Series lineup for the team in 2024. The 10 car also remains an interesting option with that car being an “All-Star car” for Kaulig this year.
Any of these options could be open for Snider. Again, it all depends on whether or not Snider wants to run full-time or not. If he wants to run full-time, then this may not be the best place for him.
Rackley W.A.R. #25: Trucks
Rackley W.A.R. remains one of the most interesting teams in the Truck Series Silly Season. They have parted ways with Matt DiBenedetto for 2024, and they have been filling in their seat for the final three races of the season. However, nothing permanent has been set yet.
Snider could be an interesting choice given that he is an Xfinity Series race winner. However, Rackley W.A.R. could have their next driver in-house. Dawson Sutton drives late models for the team as well. Even though he may not be old enough to run a full season next year, it’s possible this could only be a one-year stay. Is that something Snider would want?
Sam Hunt Racing #24/26: Xfinity
Sam Hunt Racing has not announced their 2024 plans yet, and it is uncertain whether or not they will re-up with the same drivers for 2024 either. If they choose to, then that would make some sense, but, if they do not, Snider is in the Toyota ecosystem. It could be a way for Snider to work his way back into a top full-time seat.
However, funding will be a factor as it always is. If Snider brings up the funding necessary, then this seat could be an interesting option. Again, it comes down to whether or not a seat opens up.
Where will Myatt Snider end up in 2024? Will it be with one of the teams on this list?
