We all have our favorite NASCAR-themed merchandise. Me, every time I’m at the track I buy a couple or a handful or way too much moneys worth of baseball caps…or trucker caps. Whatever you want to call them.

I didn’t have tickets for the Dirt race at Bristol (I do, however, have tickets for the race in September and I could not be more stoked) but I made plans to head over to the track on Friday and just to browse the merchandise haulers…and, of course, add to my collection of hats and 1:64 scale diecast cars.

Of course, Friday was washed out so I made plans to go over there on Saturday. I had to pay $10 to park, which I never had to do before at Bristol but that’s beside the point. I ended up getting the Sundrop and Bass Pro Shops caps from Dale Jr.’s late model runs late last year–you know, the ones with the netted backs. Those are my favorite and they’re excellent additions to the hats I’ve collected over the last several years.

If I had my say, all the NASCAR hats would have that awesomely retro netted back. I’m particularly partial to this beauty from the Daily Downforce:

But of course, when it comes to discussing and debating the perfect NASCAR merchandise, the fans over on Reddit could never let us down!

HeavyDevy77 wants “just normal” shirts. TimmyHillFan clarifies with just regular, plain shirts with a logo somewhere on the breast. Sounds basic but, when it comes to shirts, I can get down with that. Most of my shirts are just plain black tees.

Bball803 wants some retro t-shirts. ginther1632 suggests looking around the JR Motorsports store…

jim_jam66 says to just hired Ryan Williams. He’s the artist who designs all the JRM stuff.

jagF1 and egg0511 just wants fitted hats.

stocktastic wants authentic team apparel. HuskerDont241 echoes that. Why isn’t that a thing with all the authentic apparel from other sports leagues like the NFL, MLB, and NBA…

Sprinter2L has the idea for plastic model kits for the lower series. NeonBodyStyle was surprised with just how intricate their model kit was.

cmd_iii wants less of a monopoly on race apparel by allowing the teams to individually design their own shirts. It’s too uniform!

As timmyhank1987 states, collectable pins used to be a thing and they were popular. davief1 wants NASCAR to bring them back!

I won’t lie man, I agree with RodTheChaptain. I dig polo shirts. They look classy and never have to be too busy.

When I think of the perfect NASCAR merchandise, I want something that looks classic, unique, and something that isn’t too busy. I’ll do just fine with my trucker caps and my polo shirts. What do you think? Let us know!
