I think like many NASCAR fans I remember the years where it was rare to see Kyle Busch not win a race at least a weekend but nowadays things are completely different. It’s been a long time since we were reminded of how good Kyle Busch is and it’s been a long time since he’s been in Victory Lane. • RCR has been in steady decline for many years now, and they would only improve with a small boost of motivation, like when Reddick started dominating in the Gen Seven car or in the short time after Kyle Busch signed. But now that the momentum has faded from signing Kyle Busch, RCR has been fading more and more into obscurity. Do you think if RCR was performing better, Kyle Busch would have more wins?
• When talking about Kyle Busch’s decline, one thing that has to be mentioned is his age. At 39 years old, many people will consider him to be in his prime, but when you look at the stats for recent drivers, it seems like your late 30s represent a fork in the road where either you’ll improve or start declining aggressively. Do you think Kyle Busch has aged past his prime?
• Back in Kyle Busch’s glory days, one of the most feared things for those who didn’t like him was an early penalty. If you gave Kyle Busch too much motivation early off in the race, he would come charging back and be nearly unstoppable. But today, it does not seem like Kyle Busch has that same motivation. Do you think Kyle Busch’s demeanor towards racing has changed?
