Weather Update: Daytona ARCA Menards Series Race Moved to TONIGHT

NASCAR and ARCA have officially announced the first race change of Speedweeks. The ARCA Menards Series race will now be held tonight, Friday, February 16 at 10:30 PM ET on FS2, then move to FS1 after college basketball. As of right now, NASCAR has made no changes to the Xfinity Series schedule.

SCHEDULE UPDATE … ARCA race scheduled for Saturday has been moved to 10:30p ET TODAY after the truck race. Will start on FS2 and then move to FS1 after basketball.

This comes after an ominous weather forecast has been threatening the Daytona 500 weekend all week. While Sunday is in jeopardy the Saturday forecast arguably looks worse, so, NASCAR made the first move.
NASCAR has recently gotten more flexible with rescheduling races. They postponed Cup Series races at New Hampshire and Dover the morning of the race, and the Clash at the LA Coliseum was moved up an entire day because of rain.
Fans are sad to see the rain hampering the weekend, but, they want to see racing. Ultimately, weather puts a damper on everyone’s plans.
