What’s Happening?
NASCAR fans concerned about Pitbull leaving Trackhouse can breathe a sigh of relief. Justin Marks took to social media early Wednesday morning to deny any rumors of PItbull leaving. He called the stories “Materially untrue.”
- Rumors began swirling earlier this week when a Newsweek article stemmed from an Essentially Sports article fueled by a rumor on a Reddit thread speculating that Pitbull might leave Trackhouse. These rumors eventually returned to Reddit, which fueled fan speculation. As we discussed yesterday, these were no more than just rumors that traced their way back to a Reddit thread, but the public discussion forced Marks to respond on social media.
- Justin Marks and Pitbull have been involved with Trackhouse since the team was founded in 2021. Pitbull often shows up to the race track. He is also set to perform before the 2025 Daytona 500, as he was forced to cancel his pre-race performance after the 2024 event was postponed.
- Trackhouse as a whole has struggled in 2024. While Daniel Suarez won at Atlanta earlier this year, he sits a disappointing 17th in points. Ross Chastain is only seven points clear of the Playoff cutline with four races remaining before the 2024 Playoffs.
