What’s Happening?
Despite rumors that it might land elsewhere, NASCAR confirmed today that the Clash will return to the Mad House, Bowman Gray Stadium in February of 2026. The track is located in the city of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and hosted the 2025 event to a positive reception. The announcement was made in the video package below by defending Clash winner, Chase Elliott. Check it out.

- This announcement is in contrast to what was previously believed, which was that the Clash would move abroad starting in 2026. Previously, many fans were expecting the Clash for 2026 to move outside the United States in new markets such as Mexico or even Brazil.
- Unlike the Clash at the Coliseum, NASCAR does not have a long-term contract with the facility. While they may be returning to Bowman Gray in 2026, it’s unclear what the long-term future will be for the pre-season exhibition race.
- The race is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 1, 2026. It being in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, means that it will likely be on the cooler side. Fans planning to attend should plan accordingly and dress warm.
