Ryan Blaney is returning to Martinsville Speedway for the first time since earning his tenth career NASCAR Cup Series win – and Championship 4 clinching performance – last October. In 16 total NCS starts at the paper clip-shaped oval, Blaney has added 10 top-10 finishes. This includes:

  • Top-5 finishes in eight of his last 12 starts at Martinsville
  • Blaney’s average finish of 9.0 at Martinsville is his best of any track where he’s made at least five NCS starts
  • His 9.0 average finish at Martinsville is also the best of all active NCS drivers
  • He’s led more than 100 laps at Martinsville on three separate occasions: in the 2018 spring race (145 laps led), 2021 spring race (157 laps) and last fall’s race (145 laps)

Ryan’s thoughts on Martinsville

“Our 12 team is really looking forward to getting back to Martinsville this weekend and bringing the Advance Auto Parts Ford Mustang back to the track for the second time this season. Martinsville has always been a favorite track of mine and we’ve been fortunate to have a lot of success there. I’ll always consider our win there last fall as one of the biggest of my career with how we carried that momentum into Phoenix to race for a championship.”

Advance on Blaney’s No. 12 Ford

This Sunday will mark Blaney’s second of four races with Advance Auto Parts serving as primary sponsor of his Team Penske No. 12 Ford Mustang. After Martinsville, he’ll race in the Advance colors on Father’s Day Weekend at Iowa (June 16) and at Daytona (Aug. 24). Blaney finished fifth in his first race in the Advance No. 12 Ford Mustang at Phoenix on March 10.

Along with its sponsorship of Team Penske and Ryan Blaney, Advance serves as the official auto parts retailer of NASCAR.
