The 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season is over, which gives us a chance to look back at it and reflect on how the series’ teams performed heading into 2025. Here is our 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series tier list.

Tier Four consists of those teams still trying to find their footing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Some of these teams have won and history in the series, while others are just breaking into this level. Either way, these teams have a lot of work to do to keep growing.
Young’s Motorsports debuted in the Xfinity Series this season, with Leland Honeyman driving their No. 42 entry. The longtime Truck Series team saw moderate progression as the season continued, with Honeyman pulling together one top-five and two top-tens. Honeyman finished fourth at Talladega, which was their best finish of the year.
In 2024, Bobby Dotter’s SS GreenLight Racing entered 18 drivers for their No. 14 and No. 07 cars. Among these drivers were Daniel Suarez, Myatt Snyder, and Patrick Emerling, who entered the 19 races for the team. While the team hosted a rotating door of drivers, it managed a best finish of 8th at Talladega with David Starr.
Joey Gase Motorsports returned to the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2024 with their No. 35 and No. 53 cars hosting a rotating door of drivers. The team’s best finish was 16th at Iowa, with owner Joey Gase behind the wheel. Much like the other teams on this list, 2025 can only be better following the 2026 season.
Tier Three consists of teams working their way through the series. Some teams, such as Jeremy Clements’s family-owned team, are stagnating their rise in tiers, while Alpha Prime and AM Racing continue to rise through the ranks.
Jeremy Clements’s family-owned team continues to stay in the same spot it was last season. The No. 51 car only scored one top-ten this year, but Clement still managed a top-20 finish in points. This year was an all-around improvement for the team following a difficult 2023.
What’s Happening? Oddly, following their signing of Ryan Ellis, DGM Racing did not announce a car number for their new driver….
DGM Racing continues to reshape how fans think of it as it enters the 2025 season. Ushering in a new era, the team has signed Ryan Ellis from Alpha Prime Racing to drive its new No. 71 entry next season. This year, the team scored multiple top-10 finishes with various drivers.

Alpha Prime Racing is another team starting to trend to the top of the NASCAR Xfinity series ranks. The team and their field of three Chevy Camaros built on solid foundations from the 2023 season. In 2024, Brennan Poole, who has been an important piece to their success, will return and hopefully improve on the team’s best season yet.

AM Racing recovered from Hailie Deegan’s release by bringing in a whole host of talent from Ford Racing, such as Josh Berry and Joey Logano. However, they will rely on Cup Series winner Harrison Burton for their 2025 efforts. He continues to grow rapidly and could find himself in the next year as early as next season.
The teams in tier two either can’t win or win consistently. These teams are on the precipice of breaking into the next level of contention in the NASCAR Xfinity series. Several of these teams have reshaped their look going into 2025, and those changes could push them up or down on this list in the future.
RSS Racing came close to breaking through with their first win at Texas Motor Speedway this past season. While the family-owned team still seeks a win, it continues to grow, with Ryan Sieg finishing just shy of a playoff appearance in 2024.
Our motorsports had a solid season with Anthony Alfredo behind the wheel of the No. 5. Alfredo raced perhaps one of the best seasons in team history; however, the team is calling on underdog Kris Wright to continue this momentum into 2025.

Jordan Anderson Racing remains in this tier following a difficult 2024 season. For 2025, the team has a refreshed lineup, with Blaine Perkins taking over Parker Retzlaff’s spot in the No. 31 car. However, the team has continuity, with veteran Burton returning to the team for a third season.
Big Machine Racing had a solid year, yet it felt like the team stagnated late in the season. Next year, Truck Series hotshot Nick Sanchez will take over for a retiring Parker Kligerman in the team’s No. 48 car. Sanchez’s signing is the next step in the team’s growth.
What’s Happening? Multiple sources have confirmed to the Daily Downforce that Dean Thompson will be promoted to the NASCAR Xfinity Series…
Sam Hunt Racing seems stuck in limbo between the upper levels of this tier list. The team continues to advance to the front of the Xfinity Series field yet cannot win. Sources have told the Daily Downforce that the team is signing Dean Thompson for a full-time ride next season. Perhaps one more try with a full-time driver could be another step for the team.
The top dogs and legacy teams of the NASCAR Xfinity Series make up their own tier. These teams run the series and have numerous championship four appearances, records, and drivers now in the Cup Series.
Joe Gibbs Racing maintains its foothold as perhaps the best team in the series. Its winning ways, top prospects, and Cup regulars make JGR a team to look out for in 2025. JGR is once again shaking its lineup up for next year with the additions of Taylor Gray and William Sawalich.
JR Motorsports is facing its first major overhaul in years, entering the 2025 season. The team has top prospects Carson Kvapil and Connor Zilisch, who will join their veteran drivers next year. Hopes are high for the team coming off its 2024 championship.

Kaulig Racing may have one over JRM entering 2025, as the team invested in its long-term future by signing Christian Eckes. Eckes is coming off a legendary season in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and looks like a future winner. Kaulig had a down year with its in-house talent in 2024; perhaps Eckes and Daniel Dye are the answer to that problem.

RCR had another consistent winning year with Austin Hill and transitioned their new driver, Jesse Love, into the Xfinity Series with a winning season. RCR will see little change at the Xfinity Series level next season and may easily continue their winning ways.
Stewart-Haas Racing closes, and the Haas Factory takes its place with seemingly the same footing. While they are in this tier due to SHR’s past efforts, that could change by the end of the 2025 season if drivers Sheldon Creed and Sam Mayer don’t live up to this history.
