What’s Happening?

Rajah Caruth will compete in 10 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series races with Jordan Anderson Racing in 2026 as part of a unique schedule that will make up his rookie season in NASCAR’s second-highest division.

In October, JR Motorsports announced that fan favorite NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Rajah Caruth will be the part-time driver of their No. 88 in 2026.

This was a long time coming for the two-time race winner and two-time Most Popular Driver winner, who had been full-time in the Truck Series for nearly three years at the time.

Upon this announcement, many fans figured this would be complementary to his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series efforts. However, at the time, Caruth insinuated that he was not merely splitting his time between the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, but that he would race full-time.

In a Twitch stream the next day, Caruth confirmed rumors that he would split his time between JRM’s No. 88 and Jordan Anderson Racing’s now full-time No. 32 entry. However, this raised more questions, as it was unclear if this would be for the majority of the year or an even split.

On Thursday, in a post on their social media, JAR cleared the air on how Caruth’s split-time effort will work, with the 23-year-old set to pilot the No. 32 in 10 races and the No. 88 in 23 races in 2026.

Though Caruth will be new to JRM in 2026, he is no stranger to JAR’s No. 32, having piloted the car twice in 2025 to two top-30 finishes. In 2025, Caruth made a total of three NASCAR Xfinity Series starts between JAR and Hendrick Motorsports, scoring a best finish of 18th in the HMS No. 17 at Kansas.

The No. 17 will no longer be a part-time all-star car in 2026 and will instead be driven full-time by Corey Day, HMS’ top prospect.

It is rumored that the displaced HMS Cup Series drivers, who would typically drive the No. 17, will instead pilot the No. 88 for the ten races that Caruth is in the No. 32.
