From an interesting hotel room in Oklahoma City with a desk behind a television, Eric Estepp gave his thoughts on the race at Sonoma on Sunday. Topics ranged from performances of the drivers on road courses, to debating whether or not Sonoma was a good race or a bad race, to, of course, the “Groovy Gauge”.
- Road course racing is not as charming as it once was because the drivers are too good and the car is more built for road course racing.
- Toyota is back on road courses, even if today was a feast-or-famine type day.
- Was this a good race? At the very least it did not devolve into chaos like other road course races, which Eric found refreshing.
Even with the off-week, Eric mentions that he will not be slowing down when it comes to Out of the Groove. More episodes will come this week.
