The NASCAR charter agreement has seemingly made no progress this entire season. This week, NASCAR let the media see their proposal to the teams, and the reason for the hold-up became a lot clearer. Bologna Burger is here to explain everything going on with the charter agreement.
- The France family wants the ability to purchase a NASCAR charter. This means that the people who run the series will also be competitors in that series, just like Penske in INDYCAR. Do you think this is a conflict of interest?
- NASCAR can remove every charter if the charter agreement isn’t signed soon. Do you think we will see more teams selling charters before this happens?
- Another thing that NASCAR is trying to do is limit the amount of money that teams spend, they’re trying to accomplish this by adding a cost cap to NASCAR teams. Do you think this is a good idea?
Who do you think is asking for too much in the situation? Are you worried that the charter agreement won’t be signed? Let Bologna Burger know all of your thoughts and questions in the comment section.
