What’s Happening?

Shortly after iRacing released its first gameplay video for its upcoming NASCAR Console game, NASCAR ’25, fans got even more footage from several content creators who got their hands on an early version of the game.

Throughout the process of developing its highly anticipated upcoming NASCAR console game, NASCAR 25, fans knew that iRacing had welcomed a handful of content creators to test out the game prior to the release of any content.

At the time, no footage from these sessions was released, but that changed this afternoon, when a few of these content creators posted their videos from testing out NASCAR ’25. These posts followed up the initial gameplay preview from iRacing, which gave fans the chance to see actual gameplay footage from NASCAR ’25.

The initial video, released by iRacing and NASCAR, showed NASCAR Xfinity Series veteran Anthony Alfredo race in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Homestead-Miami Speedway and the NASCAR Cup Series at Richmond Raceway. While this was significant, it lacked certain elements, such as a natural flow from the home screen to the menus to the full NASCAR race weekend experience.

But the videos from these three YouTubers, The Iceberg, Matt Malone, and Camodo Gaming, gave fans a through-and-through look at a single player race weekend from starting up the game to the drop of the checkered flag at Kansas Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, and Texas Motor Speedway.

According to all three videos, getting going is pretty simple and par for the course of past NASCAR games. First, you select your game mode, then select from the ARCA Menards Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck, Xfinity, or Cup Series, then your driver, and then your track.

There is little difference from there on out compared to what was shown in the NASCAR ’25 video posted by iRacing; all three also tested the game on XBOX, much like Alfredo.

The short list of notables from these videos includes

  • Camodo Gaming, noting that there is the option to set the car up simply as Loose, Neutral, or Tight, as well as an in-depth setup option.
  • Matt Malone shows off the different camera angles, including an odd over-the-head look that may have been a glitch from this early final build of the game.
  • In his footage, IceBerg also shows off Christopher Bell’s alternate Rheem Paint scheme.

While this seems to be all the footage race fans are getting for now, in the initial video, iRacing’s Matt Lewis did note that there will be additional videos down the line showing off different aspects of the game, such as the creation suite and career mode, in a similar manner.

NASCAR ’25 is set to release on October 14 for PS5 and XBOX Series X/S, with a PC release via Steam set for November 11. For any and all information, including timelines, promotional videos, and in-game info, make sure to check out our in-depth article on NASCAR ’25 below.
