What’s Happening?

Netflix has finally announced the full trailer and the release date for the second season of NASCAR: Full Speed. After months of waiting, fans were theorizing about the motives of the delay, as last year’s Season 1 was not only announced but also released much earlier, on January 30th, 2024, one week before the first race of the season.

But today, Netflix has officially announced its launch on May 7th, 2025, along with a breathtaking trailer to accompany it. Like last year’s version, Season 2 will consist of five episodes, each 45 minutes long.

Full Trailer

Season 1 was well-received and acclaimed, with an average of 3.4 million viewers and a rating of 5 out of 5 stars on Rotten Tomatoes. Most fans praise the show, saying, “It’s exactly what was needed.”

The series covers the final 10 races of the season, focusing on NASCAR’s superstars and their playoff journey, besides letting fans have a more insightful look at the drivers, connecting the audience to their idols. While Season 1 covered the 2023 season, Season 2 will do so for the bustling 2024 playoffs. For non-NASCAR fans, the series could be considered the NASCAR version of F1’s “Drive to Survive.”
