NASCAR President Steve Phelps joined Sirius XM NASCAR Radio during Daytona 500 Media Day, and he opened up about NASCAR’s Netflix docuseries, “NASCAR: Full Speed”. While complimenting what the show has already done, Phelps declared that he expects Netflix to re-up with NASCAR for a second season. His full comments can be heard below.

Phelps also cracked the door on what he personally would like to see from the next season. He mentioned that he hopes to see the show expand to 8 or maybe even 10 episodes for the next season. He qualified that that was strictly his opinion.
NASCAR: Full Speed has seen almost universal praise from both the NASCAR fanbase and those involved in the industry. Folks have complimented the show on how it showed the drivers’ personalities off the race track alongside balancing that with their on-track persona. As for reaching new fans, that impact remains to be seen.
Fans loved NASCAR: Full Speed and many are hoping for a second season. Some fans even asked for things they wanted in the next season including more episodes and more drivers involved.
