It’s time for the paperclip, folks. We here at the Daily Downforce provide a weekly look at what the cars are going to look like, and this week the NASCAR Cup Series travels to Virginia for a date at Martinsville.
Take a look at what the major race teams have in store for this weekend’s short-track skirmish:
FRONT ROW MOTORSPORTS
Front Row’s Michael McDowell will be sporting the Long John Silver’s look, for those of you who enjoy some of the best beer-battered fish and chicken out there. And Todd Gilliland will run with Frontline Enterprises as his primary sponsor.
HENDRICK MOTORSPORTS
There’s nothing too out of the ordinary for Hendrick’s four-driver race team this weekend — besides of course the actual driver of the No. 9 NAPA Chevy. Chase Elliott will resume driving after recovering from a broken tibia, and Josh Berry will resume focusing on his Xfinity Series pursuits.
KAULIG RACING
A.J. Allmendinger (16) and Justin Haley (31) are set for Martinsville, with Action Industries and LeafFilter Gutter Protection on the cars, respectively.
RFK RACING
Brad Keselowski (6) and Chris Buescher (17) are ready to go in the Fastenal and Nexletol Fords. We’ll see if the team can get a spark from Martinsville.
RICHARD CHILDRESS RACING
RCR’s two full-time cars (Austin Dillon in the 3 and Kyle Busch in the 8) are looking good for The Paperclip, as are Xfinity Series regulars Sheldon Creed (2) and Austin Hill (21).
STEWART-HAAS RACING
As this video clip shows below, Kevin Harvick (4), Aric Almirola (10), have sharp looking schemes for this weekend at Martinsville.
TEAM PENSKE
Austin Cindric (2), Ryan Blaney (12), and Joey Logano (22) form a trio of past winners that are ready to impress at Martinsville this weekend.
TRACKHOUSE RACING
It will be an all-blue kind of weekend for Trackhouse Racing, but we’re not talking about emotional states, we’re talking about paint schemes for Ross Chastain (1) and Daniel Suarez (99).
LEGACY MOTOR CLUB
The Paperclip is all ready for Noah Gragson and Erik Jones in the historic No. 42 and No. 43 cars, respectively. Gragson will have Sunseeker Resort on board, while Jones will have Allegiant.
