Kyle Busch will continue driving the No. 8 Chevy for Richard Childress Racing through the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season, meaning that Busch will be with the team for their fourth season together since Busch left Joe Gibbs Racing and joined Childress in 2023. The announcement came out on Saturday.
- The contract is through 2026, meaning Kyle Busch will stay with the team until, at least, the end of next year.
- Richard Childress Racing will maintain a two-car lineup for 2026, with Austin Dillon driving the No. 3 car.
- Kyle Busch won three races for the team, all in the 2023 season, led 533 laps, earned 16 top-five finishes, and had 31 top-tens in 84 starts.
- Busch is on a 69-race winless streak, the longest of his career.
“We’re proud to continue our relationship with Kyle and remain focused on our goals of winning races and championships together. Kyle is a tremendous racer and ambassador of the sport for our fans and partners. I like drivers who don’t like to lose. We’ve worked hard, and I still think we can win Kyle a championship. His career is nowhere close to being over.”

“It’s an honor to race for Richard Childress, our partners, and team Chevy fans. I feel like my family and I have found a home at RCR, and it means a lot that Richard continues to put his trust into me.”
