Raikkonen posted a tease on Instagram that he would be racing for Trackhouse. He quickly deleted it, but not before NASCAR Reddit grabbed a screenshot.

Moments after the story was written, Trackhouse made it official.

“I had a fantastic time in NASCAR,” said Räikkönen. “There was a lot to learn in a very short amount of time, but everyone was very helpful, the competition was a big challenge. This time I get to race on a track I am familiar with so there won’t be as steep of a learning curve. I want to have fun, but also do as well as we can.”
Team owner Justin Marks added:
“When we announced Kimi last year I said he was the global superstar I had in mind when we created PROJECT91. I think you saw the fan reception across the world and Kimi’s performance in the car was proof of the concept. Kimi’s following is massive and it’s great for NASCAR, Trackhouse plus I think Kimi really enjoys our racing.”
Competitor Conor Daly relished in some irony and excitement over sharing the track with The Iceman.
Even though the post has since been deleted, fans celebrated “The Iceman’s” return.
Reddit hype was real as fans discussed the potential battles with the return of the “road course ringers”.
Oh the possibilities. COTA will be a race to watch, if nothing else than for the personalities. Fans shouldn’t forget Conor Daly will also be in the race.
After Trackhouse made it official, fans continued their support, but Justin Clark saw something most didn’t.
