What’s Happening?

NASCAR 25, the long-awaited NASCAR console game developed by iRacing, will be released on Oct. 14, with a later release on Steam for PC users.

  • NASCAR 25, made by MotorSport Games, will be the first multiplatform NASCAR console release since NASCAR 21: Ignition in 2021. It will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. According to Jason Wilson of Sports Business Journal, the game will also be released on Steam for PC users at a later date.
  • Of the last ten multi-platform NASCAR Console games (NASCAR The Game: 2011 to NASCAR 21: Ignition), NASCAR ’25’s Oct. 14 release date is the third-latest for a NASCAR game. The release date will be nestled between the Playoff Races at Las Vegas and Talladega, adding to the long tradition of NASCAR console releases during the Playoffs.
  • The game will be the first-ever NASCAR game to feature all three NASCAR National Series, Trucks, Xfinity, and Cup, alongside a full ARCA Menards Series roster. According to Matt Lewis of iRacing, the game will feature roughly 190 active drivers, multiplayer, and an in-depth career mode.
  • iRacing announced the purchase of the NASCAR console license from Motorsport Games in October 2023. This followed a tumultuous run of releases for Motorsport Games, which, despite the hype following their success with other motorsports games, failed to deliver on lofty promises and expectations.
