These track remodels and refreshes will bring fans the most up-to-date versions of several NASCAR tracks. These upgrades include updates to how each track races, via new track scans, and how the track looks, via updated models and artwork.
Six tracks will receive major overhauls and “driving surfaces fully remodeled from scratch” with the release of the season three update.
These tracks are Iowa Speedway, Richmond Raceway, Sonoma Raceway, Worldwide Technology Raceway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, and, most notably, the first ‘modern’ version of North Wilkesboro Speedway.
iRacing also confirmed that more track ‘refreshes’ are on the way, saying that they “will release as many as possible in the Season 3 build, with the remainder shipping no later than Season 4.” These refreshes will not directly affect gameplay; rather, they update the visual standards and presentation of each track.
iRacing has already released refreshed tracks such as Homestead and New Hampshire in both its Season One and Season Two updates. For this update, iRacing confirmed via X that Martinsville and Talladega have “received a nearly complete rebuild.”
This most recent Development Update confirmed that the iRacing team is working on refreshes for more tracks, such as COTA, Darlington, Daytona, Indianapolis, Lime Rock Park, Phoenix, and Texas.
For those who don’t use iRacing or prefer console gaming, these upgrades will affect you, as iRacing Executive Vice President Steve Myers previously confirmed that iRacing will utilize these refreshed track models in their upcoming console game, NASCAR ’25.
