The ninth season of Formula One competition was set up to be an exciting one. A new storyline to follow would be the Constructor’s title, as teams could compete for a championship for the first time in F1. Additionally, a driver’s title fight between Mike Hawthorn and Stirling Moss was inevitable. However, the main storylines of the season would be covered up by tragedy and would end up being the deadliest season in F1’s history. In less than 5 months, four young drivers would be killed in separate accidents.
